Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund (CICRF)
CICRF is a New Jersey state program, designed to assist families struggling with the financial responsibilities that accompany a child’s significant health problems. The program has existed for over 25 years, and has assisted hundreds of families annually.
Established by legislation in 1988, CICRF is intended to be a financial resource that can help New Jersey families, regardless of income, cope with medical expenses for their children that are not fully covered by insurance, state or federal programs, or any other resource. The Fund is designed to provide a financial safety net for families struggling with a child’s previously incurred expenses.
