VANCOUVER, WA -The Heritage High School Wrestling Team of Vancouver, WA joined the Muscle Movement Foundation this season, wrestling with a purpose to "Pin Muscle Disease"! On Wednesday, January 13th, 2016, Head Coach Erik Gonzalez and the Timberwolves honored 6 year old duchenne muscular dystrophy survivor, Angeal, at their home match! Angeal and family were under the impression they were invited to the match to raise awareness for the Muscle Movement Foundation. Coach Erik Gonzalez and team surprised Angeal and family, announcing the amount of money they have raised for Angeal to-date! The Timberwolves continue their season raising awareness and donations to assist Angeal in his fight against muscular dystrophy.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the most common form of muscular dystrophy in children. DMD causes slow progressive muscle degeneration and weakness in the body. It is a genetic disease that is 100% fatal.
Special thanks to Head Coach Erik Gonzalez for taking initiative in joining the Muscle Movement Foundation this season!
